Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on the Florida peninsula within October 9th (Wednesday evening). It is forecasted to impact the entire Florida peninsula.

Residents should be preparing and abiding by local government evacuation orders. It is anticipated the Florida's west coast will have incredible wind and storm surge. The forecast map shows the storm going thru the State of Florida entering on the west coast and exiting as a hurricane on the east coast. Hurricane watches are in effect for Florida's west coast, and anticipated to be upgraded to warnings.

PLAN, PLAN, PLAN!!

Please review your storm/hurricane supply list and be prepared. Once the storm arrives first responders cannot rescue you, you must be able to sustain your household for the first 72 Hours (3 Days).

What Supplies do I need?

  • Water: Drinking, Cooking, Sanitation Purposes
  • Minimum 1 Gallon Daily Per Person
  • Food: Non-perishable packaged or canned food.
  • Cooking Supplies: Can Opener, Cooking Tools/Fuel, Paper Plates, Utensils, etc.
  • Flashlight & Batteries
  • Pillows, Blankets, and/or Sleeping Bags
  • First Aid Kit, Prescription Medication, and other Medicines
  • Radio
  • Sanitation and Personal Hygiene Items
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Cash: Banks and ATMs may not be open or operating.
  • Important Documents: Medication list, passport, social security, birth certificates, insurance policies, etc.
  • Pet Care Items
  • Baby Supplies
  • Clothing
  • Family Emergency Contact Information

"In preparation for the pending storm you must remove all items from your front and back porches and yards.

ALL items must be moved into your units this includes all toys, plants/planters, furniture, garbage cans etc.

BBQ Grills also have to be moved into the unit BUT fuel like Propane and Gas CANNOT be in the unit.

Fuel must still be 10 ft or more away from any unit
